When to use the QuickBooks SuperCondense formula rather than the Condense

Brandon,MB, Canada, 25th May 2022, King NewsWire, Targets in a QuickBooks transaction provides detailed information about the transaction and includes the target accounts, names, memos, and amounts.

Some characteristics of QuickBooks targets are that most transactions have multiple targets, each element of the target data set can appear multiple times in the transaction. There are a few transaction types that can have only one target and in some transactions, the source data is copied into the target data.

A target is a detail line or item line in a transaction. An example of this is if an invoice contained 10 lines,  that would take up 10 targets. In order to successfully a QuickBooks desktop file, Enterprise, Premier, or Pro to QuickBooks Online, the Desktop file must have less than 350,000 targets.

One way to get below the target limit is by SuperCondensing a file. SuperCondense is an advanced version of the Condense feature available in QuickBooks and shrinks the size of the data file to almost 50 to 80 percent of the original file size, resulting in a faster more resilient data file, and that also allows for the comfortable conversion to QuickBooks Online. Files with inventory would require a SuperCondense as a simple QuickBooks Condense action would not bring about the desired results.

E-Tech’s SuperCondense process has been used by hundreds of satisfied customers in US, Canada, and UK. Since QuickBooks does not have a condense feature in its the Canadian and UK versions, this process allows users to continue using their existing data files rather than create a new data file and risk losing history.
